As the UK prepares to assume the G20 Presidency, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health and Security has set out five priorities for how the Government can use this opportunity to advance global health and security.

It highlights opportunities for UK leadership on tuberculosis vaccines, access to new antibiotics, pandemic preparedness, health workforce mobility and polio eradication - turning G20 cooperation and financing reform into measurable health, economic and security outcomes.

  1. Get ahead of the science. UK G20 leadership prepares for the first new TB vaccine in a century
  2. Fix the market. UK-led coalition fixes the broken market for new antibiotics
  3. Scale the mission. UK turns the 100 Days Mission into a live G20 commitment
  4. Set the terms. UK leads a fairer global deal on health worker mobility
  5. Finish the job. UK G20 closes out one of the great public health victories of our time
