Launch of the final report ‘Agents of Change: the story of the Nursing Now campaign’

Report launch

The Nursing Now campaign has united nurses, health advocates and allies from around the world and created a platform for improving health and health care for the future.  In the three years since its launch, the campaign grew to have a presence in 126 countries with more than 700 groups independent Nursing Now groups and more than 31,000 young nurses have participated in the Nightingale Challenge.

The genesis of the campaign was the publication in 2018 of the Triple Impact of Nursing by the APPG on Global Health which made the case that strengthening nursing would improve health, gender equity and economic development. With support from the UK’s Burdett Trust for Nursing, the campaign was run in association with the World Health Organization and the International Council of Nurses.

The final report on what the campaign has achieved was launched on May 18th fittingly in a joint event between the APPG on Global Health and Nursing Now.
